About Us

Caleb and Samantha Doolittle are the founders of The Lamplight House. Several months ago, Caleb felt a strong and undeniable call to full-time ministry, a vision Samantha wholeheartedly supported. Through their own trials, God gave them a shared passion for helping single and struggling parents find Christ as their ultimate source of sustenance and hope.

Just two days after they settled on this specific mission, a balloon with a message from a grieving family landed in their yard, a divine confirmation that they were on the right path. Now, Caleb and Samantha are taking a step of faith, trusting God's provision as they build The Lamplight House to be a beacon of hope for families in need.

My life is ordered by my faith: God first, family second. As a founder of The Lamplight House, that foundation is what led me on this journey. It began with a clear call to ministry but a very unclear path. I felt lost, knowing God was calling me to something more but uncertain of what it was. My wife, Samantha, came to me with the idea of creating a ministry to help single parents struggling with loss or other life circumstances. In that instant, I knew. I felt a profound sense of peace and unity in that calling, and from that moment, The Lamplight House mission was born.

I'm Samantha, co-founder of The Lamplight House. As a wife and mom with a background in education, my heart has always been with families. Our own family has faced struggles to survive, which gave me a deep passion for seeing families rebuilt. I know how isolating it can feel, and finding support by connecting with other moms in similar situations through groups like MomCo was life-changing for me. Now, I'm passionate about bringing that same creative, supportive understanding to help build a healing community at The Lamplight House.
